    We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a team of approximately 10-15 Electrical Engineers, Software Engineers and Technicians to maintain CenTrak’s Real Time Location Systems (RTLS) market leadership in the healthcare space. The Director of Engineering will work closely together with the CTO to help direct some aspects of research and development for a commercial RTLS product portfolio including: Asset Tracking & Management, Nurse Call Automation, Clinical Operations and Workflow, Patient, staff and New Baby protection, Temperature Monitoring, Hand-Hygiene Compliance/Infection Control hardware and IoT software product programs. This role will be empowered and accountable for day-to-day execution of the tasks required to drive completion of a select set of projects on time and within budget. The role will report directly to the CTO and work in close collaboration with senior leadership.


    • Lead technology driven products and projects
    • Assist with platform architecture and scaling
    • IoT, mobility and scaling data intelligence 
    • Help continuously refactor and craft engineering organization best suited to exceeding product and business objectives and success
    •  Ensure we have the right tools and systems to deliver on the product and business opportunities
    • Define, track and deliver key productivity metrics and continually work towards improving team efficiency and engineering capacity
    • Help develop and grow the engineering organization with top players and hungry engineers
    • Assist in building the company's reputation as an exceptional organization by maintaining a compelling product offering and working environment investigating new approaches to attract talent
    • Work with other teams to maintain transparency and ensure a teamwork approach to building a holistic product from inception to the customer in the field
    • Ensure that the teams have the resources and tools they need to flourish


    • Master’s degree (minimum)
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive, hands-on experience in Electrical and Computer engineering 
    • Experience/Knowledge in design of analog, digital, RF and micro-controllers preferred
    • Experience/Knowledge of Ethernet, wireless, and Internet protocols and tools preferred
    • Experience in RF design, propagation and FCC/CE testing/regulations preferred
    • Understand Intellectual Property (patents) fundamentals
    • Experience with infra-red and low-frequency technology is a plus
    • Sensor technology knowledge is a must
    • Embedded programming knowledge is a plus
    • Self-starter and team builder
    • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
    • Ability to work in teams and delegate work required
    • Ability to prioritize multiple activities
